The Medicine Hat Community Housing Society (MHCHS) through the direction of the Poverty Reduction Leadership Group was granted a Family and Leadership Services grant to update the 2013 poverty reduction plan, moving from Charity to Investment – Reducing the Cost of Poverty in Medicine Hat.  The Poverty Reduction Leadership Group has hired, Dr. Alina Turner to consult on the plan review and update.   Poverty Reduction Leadership Group

The Poverty Reduction leadership Group is comprised of a group of representatives from all community sectors who have professional or personal experience in one or more of the six priority areas: Living Wage, Housing, Recreation, Transportation, Education and Food Security.
